Crosslands Eco-Trekking Lodge is a conceptual design.

The Crosslands nature trail north of Sydney stretches along the Berowra Creek and is a favourite for trekkers. This project introduces the next level of overnight accomodation from camping. Crosslands uses a system of stacking program to minimise the buildings site footprint and impact on the reserve.

The building uses thermal mass cooling at the podium level and generates its own electricity. Materials such as off form-concrete and timber battens allow ease of construction on site. The building is located at the most westerly point of the reserve along the creek to take advantage of cool breezes off the water particularly in summer heat and accomodates 20 visitors.
